You often hear people with gassy stomach ask about how to relieve bloating. Some of these people think that eating foods that make you bloated is the number one reason for their gassy stomachs.
They are not aware that their bloating may also be caused by their eating habits, how they prepare their foods and by eating the wrong food combinations.
Cook Raw Vegetables
If you want to know how to stop bloating, then you should know what foods to eat and avoid. Vegetables differ from one another. People always talk about how good vegetables are for our body, however our body only benefits from them if they are digested properly. And a lot of vegetables are actually hard to digest.
For example, broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, collards, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and kale, are very difficult to digest. That is why these vegetables are not for people who want to relieve bloating and/or reduce bloating. In general, several vegetables are digestible if sauteed, steamed, baked and simmered.
Just remember that cruciferous vegetables must be cooked first, for them to be properly digested by the body. When these vegetables are eaten raw, they can hinder the thyroid gland to function properly; thyroid glands are responsible in producing the hormones that regulate body temperature, rate of food being turned into energy, blood pressure and heart rate.
Our digestive system is not designed to properly digest fibers found in some vegetables. This article lists down anti bloating foods, specifically vegetables that do not cause much gas. But you can always try vegetables that are not found here, just cook them first and see if your unique digestive system can digest them well. You will know how to relieve bloating by reading through this article.

Avoid Food Combinations That Cause Gases
Avoid food combination that can cause gas. But what are these food combinations that cause bloating? Schnitzel is delicious, but making it includes combining two of the most gas-producing foods; schnitzel is deep fried and breaded. The wheat found in bread has white flour which is highly refined and raffinose, a complex sugar.
Both refined flour and raffinose tops the list of food causing flatulence. Aside from these ingredients, fried foods, whether they are pan or deep fried also cause gassy stomach. Spices like coriander, chili and ginger are said to help digestion. However, there are people who say that these spicy foods cause flatulence.
You must remember though, that these spices are added to foods using coconut milk. Fat from coconut milk affects digestion, so the spices do not really cause flatulence and gassy stomach.
Read The Labels
There are certain products, like sugar-free gums and dietetic candies that has artificial sweeteners. These artificial sweeteners are made from erythritol, mannitol, xylitol, maltiol, sorbitol and corn starch. Products with these ingredients must be avoided if you want to stop flatulence.
Furthermore, sugars such as fructose (found in fruit drinks, fruits, wheat and vegetables), Lactose (milk and dairy products like ice cream, cereal, bread and salad dressings) and raffinose (cruciferous, and beans) can also cause flatulence.
Always read the labels of your food to avoid products with these three flatulence-causing sugars.
