Buy a sports bra for every day you workout

Having only one workout bra is not going to cut it. Make sure to purchase one sports bra for every day you work out because the elastic strings tear over time and a bra loses its functionality.

Be careful with the size

A sports bra should be tighter than a regular bra. However, make sure it is not too small for you. If you lift your arms up and the bra goes up as well, you need a smaller size.

Support panels

Panels are essential for support. If the bra is smooth, there are no support panels. A good bra can have up to 12 panels that will provide you enough support during high impact movements.

Types of Sports Bras

  • Encapsulation bra—this model has two cups that separate breasts and provides support. This bra is a great choice for low impact exercises.
  • Compression bra—these bras are mostly pullover pieces that compress your breasts against the chest and reduce movements. They are excellent for medium impact activities.
