Where to Begin?

To begin with, you need to think about where you are in your life. Have you had children? Are you planning on having more or any at all? Getting breast implants before you have children can help your self-image now, but you need to know that there is a chance the implants’ appearance can change with pregnancy.

You should also make sure that you are in the best health and that you are happy with your current weight. Weight changes can also make your implants appear differently than they had when you got them.

Your Size Matters

When it comes to implants, no two women are going to wind up with the same breasts. This is because your proportions, body size, and how your breasts naturally lay all factor into what your breast implants are going to look like when you get your implants and how they are placed.

If you like the way that a celebrity’s breasts look, make sure to note that image, so you can discuss what it would take for your breasts to look similar. But ultimately, they will not look identical to another woman’s breasts since they will be crafted specifically to look amazing for you.

What’s in a Shape?

There are actually a few choices when it comes to how your breast implants can be shaped. The two most common choices are round-shape, meaning they are completely symmetrical, or tear-drop shaped, where they are narrower on the top and come down to the full breast.

While you might think one is more natural looking than another one is, the truth is that it really depends on your body type.

The type of implant that looks right on one woman will look completely different on another woman. This is why it is important to talk about all of your expectations with your doctor and make the best plan for you possible.

Types of Implants

The two types of implants that are available are saline and silicone. Saline, also known as water, are silicone shells that have been filled with saline solution. They are not known to feel quite as natural as silicone implants, but they do have other advantages. Saline implants can be most obvious when there is a leak and there is a chance of slightly altering the size of the implant after the surgery.

Meanwhile silicone implants, known as gummy bears, will retain their shape and size. They are harder to know when a rupture happens, but they are known to appear and feel more natural than saline implants. Your doctor will be able to help you decide the right set of implants for you.

Implant Size Decisions

One of the main focuses for women considering a breast augmentation is to know what the right size for them is. You should have an idea of what you would like your own breasts to look like by looking at other women’s breasts. Then you factor in your body type and how you would like your tops to fit.

While you are the ultimate decision maker when it comes to size, your doctor will be able to steer you in the right direction. Together, you should be able to figure out the perfect size to meet your needs.

  1. I didn\’t know that getting implants would be much more complicated than getting a shape done and then getting it settled in since there are various shapes available when it comes to picking out what you want them to look like! Another thing to consider is body type since there are some shapes that work well on one type but not on another. If I knew that then I wouldn\’t have had picked on the round-shape… now the implants I\’m going to get would look unnatural!
