Rendina Healthcare Real Estate Selected as a Finalist at the HREI Insights Awards

Rendina Healthcare Real Estate has been nominated as a finalist in the Healthcare Real Estate Executive of the Year category.

2018 marks the 11th time that Rendina’s name has appeared in the HREI Insights Awards as a nominee. Rendina has in the past clinched three prestigious awards from HREI among them the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Richard Rendina, CEO, and Chairman of Rendina said about the nomination, “I’m honored to be considered for this award by such a well-respected industry publication. I’m especially proud of the work our team has done this year and this nomination is a reflection of that work.”

Healthcare Real Estate Insights magazine recently revealed the 2018 finalists for the annual awards which recognize individuals and facilities that represent great achievement in healthcare real estate.

Healthcare Real Estate Insights was launched in 2003, January and is the nation’s sole publication that’s dedicated to healthcare real estate financing, investment, and development.

The HREI Insights Awards have become highly sought-after and very prestigious.

A list of the 2018 Awards are in 9 main categories namely:

  1. Best New Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities (Less than 25,000 square feet)
  2. Best New Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities (25,000 to 49,000 square feet)
  3. Best New Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities (50,000 to 99,000 square feet)
  4. Best New Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities (100,000 square feet or more)
  5. Best Renovated or Repurposed Healthcare Facility
  6. Hospitals and Other Inpatient Facilities Best New Ground-Up Development
  7. Post-Acute & Senior Living Facilities Best New Ground-Up Development PAM (Post-Acute Medical)
  8. Healthcare Real Estate Executive of the Year
  9. Lifetime Achievement Award

Rendina is a finalist in category 8. Rendina’s CEO and chairman, Mr. Rendina, has been pivotal in nurturing HRE strategy and key among them, the outpatient initiatives which utilized HRE to promote downtown revitalizations.

Mr. Richard Rendina previously worked as an Analyst at Lehman Brother’s Banking Development Group. His duties included management of banking referral database, analyzing over 1,000 business plans annually, and researching new business development. Through the years, he’s gained immense experience and invaluable knowledge working in roles of increasing capacity. He has also gained impressive medical real estate leasing, property and development management experience. A Bachelor of Business Administration graduate from the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Rendina is a regular speaker at real estate roundtables and industry events.

The company’s CEO is involved in community work and charity. The Bruce Rendina Scholarship at Cardinal Newman High School was established by the Rendina Family Foundation where the scholarship provides tuition to the student-athletes in need. Mr. Rendina has also created a student scholarship, and an endowment to support the “Right to Life” program by the Catholic church at his alma mater, University of Notre Dame. Richard is a key participant in philanthropic projects such as being a chair of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Palm Beach Annual Gala where he and his wife Trish, have managed to raise more than $3 million.

All the finalists, as well as winners, will appear in the December 2018 and January 2019 HREI magazine editions. The winners will receive their awards at a public luncheon ceremony slated for 6th December 2018, at the Realshare HRE Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.
